Why Oldschool Insights Exists

Oldschool Intelligence exists exactly in this gap.
## The problem we are solving
If you are a bank, a family office or a serious allocator, the current market has three ugly truths:
1. **The data is fragmented.**
Tokenized treasuries, private credit pools, RWAs on different chains – everything lives in different dashboards, Dune queries, PDFs and marketing websites.
2. **The language is inconsistent.**
Every issuer uses their own categories. “RWA”, “DeFi”, “CeDeFi”, “on-chain funds”, “tokenized securities” – often for the same underlying exposure.
3. **The incentives are misaligned.**
Most content in this space is sales-driven. It’s written to raise the next round, not to protect the end-investor or the balance sheet of a bank.
For institutions this is unacceptable. You can’t allocate serious capital on top of vibes, screenshots and Telegram threads.
Someone has to build an intelligence layer that treats tokenization like what it is: financial infrastructure, not a meme.

## What Oldschool Intelligence is
Oldschool Intelligence is the research and intelligence arm of Old School GmbH in Crypto Valley.
We do three things:
1. **We classify the market.**
With our own frameworks (like the Oldschool Classification Matrix), we map RWA and on-chain yield products into clear regimes: what it is, what risk bucket it belongs to, who sits behind it, and how it behaves in stress.
2. **We curate the signal.**
Instead of posting every headline, we pick the events that actually matter for regulators, treasurers and boards: new licenses, regulatory shifts, regime changes, blow-ups, structural wins.
3. **We explain the story.**
We write like practitioners, not like marketers. Plain language, clear charts, honest trade-offs. The goal is not to impress Twitter – the goal is that a risk committee can read our work and say: “We understand what we are getting into.”
In short: Oldschool Intelligence is the place where tokenization, AI and macro are treated as serious topics, not buzzwords.

## How the Blog fits into the Observatory
The Oldschool RWA Hub is our **observatory** – a live, data-driven view of the RWA ecosystem.
The Oldschool Blog is the **narrative layer** on top:
- The **Hub** shows the numbers, flows and regimes.
- The **Blog** explains *why* they matter and *what* to watch next.
A Deep Dive might walk through a specific product or issuer that appears in the Hub.
A Weekly Briefing might connect a macro move (rates, liquidity, regulation) to what we see in the data.
A Field Note might simply document what we learned from a call with an issuer or a regulator.
Over time this creates a living memory: not just charts, but context.

## Who we are writing for
We are not writing for everyone.
Oldschool Intelligence is built for:
- People who manage or influence other people’s money.
- Builders who want to design serious products, not just pump cycles.
- Regulators and policymakers who need a grounded view of what is actually happening on-chain.
If you are looking for the next 100x meme coin, this is not your place.
If you are looking for clean thinking about tokenization, AI in finance and the future of market structure, you are in the right room.
---
## What you can expect
We keep it simple:
- **Deep Dive Reports** – structured, long-form analysis of products, issuers and market segments.
- **Weekly Briefings** – short, high-signal updates on what changed and why it matters.
- **Field Notes** – raw observations from conversations, conferences and the front line.
- **Essays** – opinionated pieces on where this space is going and what we think is nonsense.
Some of this will be uncomfortable. We will ask hard questions, including about projects that everyone likes. That’s part of the job.

## Why this matters now
Tokenization is moving from slide decks into real balance sheets.
Banks, asset managers and treasurers are experimenting on-chain. At the same time, AI is changing how research is produced, consumed and gamed. The combination is powerful – and dangerous – if nobody maintains standards.
Oldschool Intelligence exists to keep those standards high:
- Transparent classification instead of marketing terms.
- Source-backed data instead of vibes.
- Clear language instead of buzzword fog.
Someone has to build the intelligence layer for this new market.
We decided to do it from Crypto Valley, with a Swiss mindset and an AI-native toolstack.
This article is the marker in the ground: this is why Oldschool Intelligence exists – and this is what you can expect from us.
